For we're under the same umbrella

The sky pours its grief over the earth.
But I myself am pleased and glad
For we’re under the same umbrella.
And in my head I’m singing a song of forever.

The drops are chilling to the touch.
Walking side-by-side,
In the thick veil of the night,
Is our only means to make flame, to ignite.

I know she’s smiling surreptitiously
‘Cause her cheeks are raised, I see.
Hope the rain won’t stop.
But it will. (No! It will not!)

In our shoes
There are tons of fishes
We can actually catch for dinner.
Fried or grilled? Which does she prefer?

While everyone hates the rain,
I’m loving it all the way
For we’re under the same umbrella
Walking along the road on that rainy night of September.
